NORTH PLAINS JINGLE PARADE 2022
Always the 1st Thursday in December
6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Be a Part of the “Jingle thru North Plains” Parade and the Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 1, 2022!
This will be the 19th year for the North Plains Jingle Parade. North Plains individuals, families, friends, and organizations are encouraged to decorate anything that moves and participate in the parade.
Some folks decorate trucks and trailers, others bring the family car, and many residents rent golf carts from J & S Golf Carts on Main Street at (503) 647-1984. Motorcycles and bicycles can join as well. It is up to you to keep pace with the parade, which moves about 10 miles an hour, and have a light or two you can attach to your wheeled vehicle.
Line up info: 6-6:30 pm entries line up at the parking area between Peak Chiropractic and Columbia Bank. The parade will end in front of the Senior Center. The procession lasts about 40 minutes.
Show off Your Holiday Spirit!
A panel of judges will grant one lucky participant the “Best Decorated Vehicle” award on the night of the parade!
Please register here.
Decorated homes & Businesses:
The “Best Decorated Home” and “Best Decorated Business” are also being judged. Register using the same link as above for the parade. Lights must be installed by Tuesday 11/28/2022 to be included in the contest. Please be sure to have your Christmas lights on after dark each evening by 6 pm so that your home and/or business can be judged. Judging will take place between 11/28 and 11/30/2022. The winner will be announced this year on northplainsevents.com and Facebook on Friday, December 2.
Awards will be given in these categories:

Between 7 – 7:15 pm when the parade ends in front of the North Plains Senior Center on Commercial Street, there will be a tree lighting, carolers and refreshments until around 8 pm. Commercial Street will be blocked off for this event between 313th and Main Street.
